My amazing experience continues..

It has been a long time since I have updated my blog, but I have been really busy and each day zooms by. I don't even know where to start because I have done so much since I wrote last.  I will go back and start with Halloween:-) I had a lot of fun the week of halloween, even though I did so much! I went to Mickey's Halloween Party with the other four girls and we had a blast. I got lots of candy, saw the halloween fireworks, and got pictures with villians. We also had our college program halloween party which was lots fun! Us five girls went as super heros:-) And I ended up working on halloween till 10:30, so after I just went and watched World of Color, but what better place to be on halloween then disneyland?? Next, one of the nights was Rock Band Night for everyone that works at EO. It was lots of fun hanging out with all my coworkers and having fun:) Later that week Emily and I went on a Holiday Tour around Disneyland, which was really neat. We were told lots of stories about disneyland and walked around listening to christmas music and enjoying hot chocolate and gingerbread cookies:-) Through the college program, I was able to go listen to Marty Skylar speak. He is a Disneyland Legend and so it was amazing to hear his stories and about Walt. Just last week my dad and brother came down and visited me:-) I had lots of fun showing them around my life down here and it was really nice to see them since it has been so long. We also went to Disneyland a couple days and so they could experience everything that I experience at Disneyland. I am really glad they were able to come down:-) The other day us fve girls (Emily, Arielle, Brittany, and Jayme) went to the FOX Studios to be a part of the filming of a show. It is called The Daily Habit but they were filming the bands that were playing during the show. The bands were The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Off. It was lots of fun because we just had to go up on stage and jump around. After the show, we went to Rodeo Drive in hollywood and walked around. We had cupcakes from Sprinkles and walked into all the really really expensive hollywood stores. That night we came back and went to Downtown Disney to see the midnight premiere of Harry Potter. Overall, we had a really fun day:-)
Recently, I was excepted to be a Disney College Program Campus Representative for my college. I am really excited because I will be able to share my amazing experince down here:-):-)
I have been having so much fun down here and cannot believe I have leave all this. I absolutely love my friends Emily, Arielle, Brittany, and Jayme (we are JEBAL). Emily and I pretty much live at their apartment, but we have an amazing time every day. I cannot imagine being without them right now. Also, I love my work. Working at Disneyland is the most amazing thing ever. I get excited to go to work everyday and really like some of the people I work with, and making the magic for all the guests is so much fun:-) It is going to be incredibly hard for me to leave my life down here... and it makes me really sad everytime I think about it. I wish there was a way to just pause everything else in life and just keep everything how it is right now... But that is impossible and I just have to come to realize that this was just an amzing experince that I will never forget.

Sooo busy, but soooo much fun!

It has been quite awhile since I have updated my blog, but once again I have been extremely busy!!! Even though I have been really busy, I have had an extraordinary amount of fun! :-) Everyday I wake up and look forward to what is in store for the day, even if it is work. I am loving work and the people I work with:-) There has been the Mickey's Halloween Party a couple times a week, so I have been able to work during it and see all the cute costumes that all the kids and adults wear. And when I am not working, I am having fun:)
I have done a ton of things in the last few weeks. A couple weeks ago Emily and I went to Knotts Berry Farm Haunt! The first thing we did when we got there was attempted to go into one of the scary mazes, but we didn't make it more than five feet without turning around and leaving (it wasn't me that was scared). We ended up riding a few roller coasters which were really fun, but the lines were really long and stuff.. but it was still a night to remember;-) Also, my sister came to visit me!! We had a lot of fun while she was down here. The first day we went to the park and rode a ton of rides. I worked one of the days, but the other days I stayed at Aunt Anita and Uncle Steve's house with her:-) We all had such a wonderful time. One of the days we went to Disneyland for Sienna's Birthday! It was so much fun because it was the first time Sienna would remember going to Disneyland. For lunch we ate at Ariel's Grotto which was really good and all the princesses came to the table. Overall, I had so much fun while my sister was down and I wish she was still down here:-)
Just last week I played laser tag with a bunch of people in the college program. We ended up getting the whole place to ourselves, and so we had a ton of fun! Emily, Arielle, Brittany, Jayme, and I all got ready together. We were wearing black, with bandanas and awesome makeup. Go team JEBAL and GATORS!!! Even though we lost, we seriously had so much fun running around wild yelling for each other;-) Also, we had an EO Banquet for work:-) We went to the Spaghetti Factory and visited, had dinner, and watched people get awards:-) It was fun seeing everyone outside of work!
As being part of the College Program, we get to do special things sometimes:-) This last week we were able to tour Walt's Apartment, which is above the firehouse on main street. It was really amazing to see where he lived and here stories about him. I learned a lot about Walt and his family that I didn't know.
Today I work till 12:45, so I won't get home till really late, but I am excited for tomorrow:-) We are going to Huntington Beach for volleyball and a bonfire with people from the program, so we will have lots of fun. I miss my family a lot but time is just flying by! I have had so much fun down here, so I know it will be very difficult for me to leave. I will have several amazing memories to share with everyone, and I will remember them forever!

Another fun week:-)

Holy cow it has been a busy but fun week!!! On Monday Emily, Bri, and I went to Santa Monica Beach:-) It was rainy but we still had fun walking around and having a good time. We ate a Bubba Gump and that was one story. Emily told one of the workers that it was my birthday (so we could get ice cream.. i had no idea about it) and for some reason they thought she said it was my sweet sixteen. A bunch of the employees came over to our table and announced it was my sweet sixteen and sang a happy birthday chant... I was quite embarrassed. Then we went and Bri had a tap class and so Emily and I just kinda walked around. Then, on our way home, we say some big city so we decided to take the exit and just drive around. We didn't find out until later that we were actually in downtown LA! It was so much fun.. we were sticking our heads out the windows like tourists lol:-) So we had a great day off!
The next day I had to wake up bright and early for a VoluntEARS event. It was were 4000 3rd graders came to the Anaheim Convention center and learned about the city and got to meet people and finally got to see Mickey at the end. I gave so many high-fives to the kids that my hand was totally numb by the end of the event lol. That night I got to go on a back stage tour of Tower of Terror!! It was soo much fun. We got to ride Tower of Terror with no lights, sounds, or anything!! It was way scary because we would go up and have no idea when we would drop or anything because the story wasn't being told! It was so amazing to experience though. And we got to walk up and explore where the elevator stops during the ride, which was pretty cool and see and learn how everything was done. Overall, the day went really well between the voluntEARS event and the Tower of Terror Tour!
I have been working lots which has been going very well:-) A couple days ago I got off work at 10:30 and then went to a Cast Preview of ElecTRONica which is the new fun dance type of thing in California Adventure.. since I am a cast member I got to preview it which was lots of fun! Today I worked from 11:00-7:30 and it was a pretty long day, but I always have a good day! But tomorrow I work at 6:30 in the morning:( It is going to be a super early for me but at least I will be done at a decent time and have the rest of the day off:-):-)
I still miss my family dearly and am very excited that my sister is going to come visit me this coming week!!!! YAY!! Well I am going to try and get some sleep since I have an early morning:-)

And the Adventure Continues:-)

I know I am bad for not updating this in awhile:-( I have just been super busy lately and a lot has been going on... But I am actually home right now and am able to update it! Well, to start things off, I woke up this morning to thunder and lightening and rain!!! It was the first time I have seen rain in over a month (when I was back home). I was quite excited but the clouds are already leaving me:-(
Anyways, my life is still going well down here! I am still loving work and meeting new people every day. I have been working between 32 and 37 hours a week:) I am also having lots of fun when I am not at work... I just spend my extra time at the park lol:-) I went there Wednesday with Cyle (my trainer) and Damien and had soo much fun. We were able to go on so many rides rather than standing in line all day long lol! And then I went yesterday with Emily and Bri after I was off work ... and let me tell you... it was a crazy night.. nothing more to say than that lol because it is a long story! Also, this last Monday the college program had tickets for us to go to the Angel's baseball game, and that was lots of fun. We were right next to where the pitchers warm up and so we kept smiling at them lol:-) One night Emily, Bri, and I went to the Block at Orange and went shopping and we had a ton of fun trying on clothes that were too expensive to buy lol. And another night Emily and I went to another apartment and had pizza dip and laughed the whole night....It seems like I haven't been at the apartment for anything except sleep. I am always out doing something, but it is lots of fun!
I started my class last week, and after meeting twice, I think I am going to really like it. There is quite a bit of stuff to do, but I am able to stay awake during 4 hour class and enjoy it. I did have coffee the other morning in class (which I never really drink unless it is a frappucinno) so I could wake up for the 8:30 class and by the end of class I was shaking so much lol!!
I miss my family a lot and am always thinking about them:-) Nicole is going to come visit in just a couple weeks so I am really excited about that! Well, I work four till midnight tonight (first night of Mickey's Halloween Trick-or-Treat) so I need to go get some laundry and stuff done before I go to work. I hope you enjoyed reading my update since it has been awhile!
Having fun tryong on dresses:-)

Still Living the Dream:-)

I have already been here a month and I cannot believe it!!! Everything has been going great and I have been having so much fun! The other day we decorated our apartment for Halloween and it looks so good. We realize it is a little early but Disneyland is officially in the Halloween “season” starting todayJ Last week I went to Huntington Beach which was lots of fun, and then this week we got our own tour of the animation studios in California Adventure. It was lots of fun and I actually can draw!
Well a couple days ago was pretty interesting lol.. I was walking to my break room when I walked through the handicap section of EO and I saw Kevin Jonas standing there! I had to remain calm and act like he was just a normal guest, so I smiled and walked in the break room and told people lol. One of the other girls I work with was on her break but she wanted to see him so she grabbed a broom and went out there and acted like she was cleaning. It was so funnyJ I couldn’t believe I was that close to a famous person lol!
Today I work guest control in Adventureland/Frontierland for parades, fantasmic, and fireworks, so I am a little nervous because I haven’t done it yet… but I will survive as long as the West Side doesn’t find out I am from the East Side lolJI still love work and the experience down here. I have been incredibly busy but it keeps my mind on things down here and not on how much I miss everyone at home.

Yes I actually drew that Goofy!!

"It takes people to make the dream a reality"

Walt Disney said this with his cast members in mind. The park was built as he wanted it, but in order to feel the magic, he had to employ people that would create the magic. I am sharing the magic with many people everyday. People from all over the world come to Disneyland to experience the magic and have a great time, and I am part of the great cast that makes it all happen!
This last week has been so busy!! I cannot believe I have already been here for three weeks!! Work has been going great because I am getting to know everyone I am working with and they are all so nice. I also love to make the guests happy and excited when they get to my attraction, and I enjoy seeing all the guests smile when they leave my attractions:-) One thing that makes me feel good inside is when people call me by name... All of a sudden I will be doing something and then I hear someone say "How's your day going Lacey," "Thank you Lacey," "Have a great rest of the day Lacey".... and it just makes me feel so good inside:)
I am also still having a great time outside work:-) My roommates and I have been keeping busy by going to the park, out to eat, and running errands. We have had so many nights that we just can't stop laughing about random things.. but it is so much fun! Emily and Lauren had a blast one night giving me a makeover:-) Fun times!
There are also activities that we are able to do with the College Program and as Cast Members:-) A couple days ago was the last day for the Maliboomer in California Adventure... but Emily, Bri, and I got to ride it after the park closed!! It was so much fun that we went on it five times and then said our farewells:-( That night we also went and watched the World of Color which is an amazing water light show:-) It is so beautiful and I cannot believe how much work it must have been to put it together! Also, last week Emily and I went and did a triathlon... Walk, Spin, and Fly:-) We got to the park super early before it opened, and we walked through the park, spin on Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin, and then flew on Peter Pan and Dumbo! We met up with a couple of our neighboors and it was a blast!! Afterwards, we went to Ihop and then into the park and rode space mountain a couple times before I had to work. Speaking of Space Mountain..... last night after the park closed I got to ride Space Mountain with the lights on!!! It was so much fun to see what it looked like on the inside:-)
Well I am going to go to the Doughnut shop, then to get fresh veggies for mexican night from the farmer's market, and then possibly to the beach:-) Hope everyone is doing great!! Here are some pictures from recently:

"We Are Here to Change the World!"

This has been stuck in my head for the last several days!! It is the Michael Jackson song that plays in one of the attractions I am working.. Captain EO. It is a 3-D movie that stars Michael Jackson and it has the song "We are here to change the world," and so I have been singing it all the time lol! Anyways, this last week has been extremely busy.. again! I was in training last Wednesday through Sunday for both Captain EO and Astro Orbitor in Tomorrowland. I had an amazing trainer that taught us so much and it shows because I passed my PA (Personal Assessment) with flying colors:-) Lauren (the other girl that was training) and I got him candy and a ballon to thank him:-) I have also been busy when I wasn't training because who doesn't want to have fun while they are down in California??? I have been to Disneyland and California Adventure so many times in the last couple weeks, and I am even going again in the next couple hours:-)
My birthday was last Friday and so after work I went back to the apartment to find out that my roommates had decorated the whole place! There were lots of amazing decorations and they even made a wonderful cake:-) I couldn't believe they did that and it made me feel so good! That night I went with two of my roommates, Emily and Bri, to Disneyland! I got a birthday button and Goofy sang 'Happy Birthday' to me over the phone. We also rode several rides and ended our night getting some amazing Dole Whip from outside the Tiki Room. On Saturday my aunt and cousins picked Emily and I up and we went out to Chili's for lunch (for my birthday) and had lots of fun. My aunt got to see my apartment and meet Emily:-)
I am having such a great time with my roommates and I am so thankful that we have all bonded so well together. It is fun to relax around the apartment and laugh and have a great time. Along with my roommates, I have met a ton of new people from work and others in the program:-)
Also, I miss my family dearly! I have been talking to them almost everyday and skyping every once in awhile, which is wonderful:-) I love you guys!!
Well, I am going to go get ready to go to Glow Fest at California Adventure. I am going to try and update my blog once a week, just depending on how busy I am with all the fun times:-) Hope everyone is doing great!

"All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them"

Here I was young with my family, where it all began!

Walt Disney once said, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." That quote really explains my story quite well. Every since I was a little girl I have enjoyed every moment I had at Disneyland. It was a place that was full of happiness and where dreams could come true. I never imagined I would ever be a part of the people that make the dreams come true for thousands of people each and every day. I was given the opportunity to be a part of the Disney College Program, and without the courage to pursue this amazing opportunity I would not be where I am today.
I moved into my apartment last wednesday and I have had an amazing time since the first day. I have developed so many friendships and have cherished every moment because I cannot describe all the amazing times I have already had. My roommates are so nice and I will have memories that I will be able to tell to many people that will come into my life.
Starting tomorrow I will be training in Tomorrowland on Astro Orbitor and Captain EO. I am very excited to put smiles on people's faces and to experience the magic that people from all over the world come to experience.
I have had a smile on my face since the moment I got here. I am sooo thankful that my family supported me in doing this program because I am living the dream!

First night exploring the park during the program (I can go whenever I want!)
